Grane Hospice Care Rebrands as Adoration Amid National Expansion

Pennsylvania-based Grane Hospice Care recently rebranded as Adoration Hospice as the organization focuses on growing its continuum of care.

The provider also has five new locations in its home state and is part of Adoration Health.

The hospice’s name change is part of the health system’s national rescaling campaign, said Rhonda Sanders-Allamon, chief hospice growth officer of Adoration Health. The health system is rebranding other locations across its coast-to-coast geographic footprint, she stated.

“We are doing a national branding and rescaling campaign so that all of our hospice locations will be under Adoration Health, our parent brand,” Sanders-Allamon told Hospice News. “We are really aligning our continuum of care under Adoration, so that we can have more visibility in markets [and] have that name recognition. That will give us national scale and presence.”

Founded in 2015, Louisville, Kentucky-headquartered Adoration Health has 274 locations across 21 states. The health system provides hospice, home health, palliative care, private duty nursing and outpatient therapy.

Adoration Home Health and Hospice became part of BrightSpring Health Services (Nasdaq: BTSG) in 2018. Since then, the hospice and home health provider has significantly expanded its patient reach, according to Sanders-Allamon.

BrightSpring previously acquired former LHC Group and Amedisys locations from the UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH). UnitedHealth’s own acquisition of Amedisys closed in August 2025 and was contingent upon the divestiture of an undefined number of hospice and home health locations. The acquired locations included BrightSpring affiliates such as Adoration Home Health Acquisitions LLC and Adoration Hospice Care Acquisitions LLC, among other assets.

Adoration Health has focused on sustainable growth amid rising demand for its services, particularly hospice and palliative care, Sanders-Allamon indicated. The organization is working to achieve 15%–20% growth across its hospice and palliative care service lines this year.

Adoration Health prioritizes organic growth, but the organization also considers merger and acquisition opportunities, she said. Driving the company’s strategic focus is a goal to expand access to high-quality care and improve awareness around hospice and palliative care.

“Growth is always something that is under consideration,” Sanders-Allamon said. “But there are various challenges that are present. It’s really navigating access to care and issues that we face [with] the lack of understanding of end-of-life care. It’s really important that we intervene earlier with hospice and palliative care. A lot of times the misunderstanding definitely leads to delayed referrals.”

Hospices are navigating several obstacles to growth, such as workforce shortages and rising care delivery and labor costs, according to Sanders-Allamon. Additionally, program integrity issues have resulted in rising regulatory oversight and complex changes to reimbursement requirements. The cost and regulatory pressures have some hospices facing an uncertain future in their ability to provide person-centered and goal-concordant care.

“We have growing expectations around quality, access and transparency when costs are rising and reimbursement is changing,” Sanders-Allamon told Hospice News. “The challenge is really to respond to these pressures without losing sight of what hospice is fundamentally about — and that is delivering compassionate, individualized care to patients while supporting families through the most difficult transitions in life.”
